Responsibilities
- Safe Material Handling: Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse safely and efficiently.
- Inventory Management: Accurately scan and track incoming and outgoing shipments to maintain precise inventory records.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections and routine maintenance checks on forklifts to ensure operational readiness.
- Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly work area to facilitate efficient workflow and retrieval of goods.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and other warehouse staff to meet daily productivity targets.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA/OSHA 10/30 preferred) required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Availability: Must be available to work night shifts (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM) on a rotational basis.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy regarding inventory counts and safety protocols.
- Communication: Basic computer literacy and ability to read and understand safety documentation.
