Responsibilities
- Safely operate powered industrial trucks (Forklift, Reach Truck, or Pallet Jack) to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the facility.
- Perform daily pre-shift equipment inspections and safety checks to ensure compliance with all operational standards.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and organize stock in designated zones to ensure efficient retrieval.
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and company policies to prevent accidents and ensure a safe workplace.
- Collaborate with the night shift team to meet daily shipping and receiving targets with zero errors.
- Handle physical tasks, including lifting, pushing, and pulling items weighing up to 50 lbs, as required by the job.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the shift supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Forklift Operator Certification (CPD or ITC).
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center environment is required.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM) and be available for overtime as business needs arise.
- Strong attention to detail with a proven track record of maintaining accurate inventory logs.
- Basic computer literacy for entering data into warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Physically capable of standing and walking for extended periods and performing manual labor.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
