Responsibilities
- Operate Heavy Machinery: Safely and efficiently load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate stock records, perform cycle counts, and ensure proper organization of warehouse inventory.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations, wear required PPE, and report any potential hazards immediately.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections on forklifts and report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other warehouse staff to meet daily production targets and shipping deadlines.
- Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork accurately, including shipping logs and inventory reports.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current forklift operator certification (CPCS/OSHA) is mandatory.
- Experience: Proven experience operating forklifts and working in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Availability: Must be available to work the night shift (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy regarding inventory counts and order fulfillment.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive motions.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license may be required for warehouse vehicle operation.
