Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse safely and efficiently.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and safety equipment to ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
- Organize, stack, and tag inventory to maintain accurate stock levels and optimize storage space.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and warehouse procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely fulfillment of orders and maintain a clean work environment.
- Assist in cycle counting and inventory audits as required by management.
Qualifications
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant) is required.
- Previous experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or logistics setting is preferred.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts and maintain high energy levels during the shift.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and material handling best practices.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to use handheld scanners.
