Responsibilities
- Operational Excellence: Safely and efficiently operate sit-down and reach forklifts to load, unload, and move materials throughout the facility.
- Inventory Management: Accurately stock and retrieve inventory using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and handheld scanners.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA regulations and company safety protocols to maintain a zero-accident workplace.
- Palletizing: Properly wrap and secure pallets for shipping and storage to ensure cargo integrity.
- Maintenance: Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with warehouse supervisors and team members to streamline workflow.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (Class A, B, or C) required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- OSHA Training: Completion of OSHA 10-hour General Industry or Forklift Safety training is preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and safety protocols.
