Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts to move, load, and unload materials in compliance with OSHA and company safety protocols
- Perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance
- Manage inventory through accurate scanning and documentation of all warehouse activities
- Maintain clean, organized, and efficient warehouse operations through proper stacking and storage practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet daily production and shipping targets
- Train new team members on forklift operation and safety procedures
- Report equipment malfunctions and safety hazards to warehouse supervisor immediately
Qualifications
- Valid OSHA-certified forklift operator license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating sit-down forklifts in a warehouse setting
- Demonstrated knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse software
- Strong attention to detail with ability to maintain accurate records
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays during peak seasons
- Excellent communication skills and commitment to workplace safety
