Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and loading dock.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and stock organization using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and traffic control.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to meet daily shipping and receiving targets and deadlines.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure a safe environment.
Qualifications
- Certified forklift operator (Valid Forklift License required; Class A, B, or C).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations, hazard communication (HazCom), and OSHA standards.
- Reliable transportation and ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude toward problem-solving.
