Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely drive and operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers to move materials within the warehouse.
- Loading and Unloading: Efficiently load and unload shipments from trucks, ensuring packages are secure and undamaged during transit.
- Inventory Management: Assist in cycle counting, stock verification, and maintaining accurate inventory records to ensure stock accuracy.
- Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by sweeping, mopping, and adhering to 5S standards.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and stage orders according to work orders and shipping schedules with high attention to detail.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections on forklifts and report any mechanical issues to maintenance immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Certification: Must possess a valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and perform repetitive motions.
- License: Valid Driverβs License required for vehicle interaction if applicable.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and operating machinery.
- Reliability: Proven track record of punctuality and adherence to work schedules.
- Teamwork: Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
