Job Overview
The Forklift Operator plays a critical role in our supply chain operations. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of goods within our warehouse facility. We are looking for candidates who can maintain a high standard of safety and productivity in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to load, unload, and move products safely.
- Inventory Management: accurately pick, pack, and stage inventory according to production schedules and order requirements.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines and company policies to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance checks on forklifts and warehouse machinery.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs and records of shipments, inventory counts, and equipment checks.
- Organization: Keep the warehouse floor organized and free of hazards to ensure efficient workflow.
Qualifications
- Eligibility: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and work in various temperature conditions.
- Clean Record: Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Availability: Ability to work full-time hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Trainability: Willingness to learn and obtain forklift certification during paid training.
