Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse and loading docks.
- Inventory Management: Accurately count, verify, and stock inventory while maintaining strict organization of stockroom areas.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to maintain a hazard-free workplace.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders with speed and accuracy to meet daily shipping targets.
- Maintenance Checks: Perform routine pre-shift inspections on forklift equipment to ensure machinery is in proper working order.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and any incidents or damages.
Qualifications
- Valid Certification: Must possess a valid forklift operator certification or license (CDL Class B preferred).
- Experience: Previous experience operating heavy machinery or forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and completing paperwork.
- Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with team leads and warehouse staff.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and available for the specified shift schedule.
