Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, stack, and retrieve products safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload shipments accurately, ensuring proper documentation and inventory records are maintained.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in safe working condition.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with OSHA safety regulations.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure timely fulfillment of orders and optimal space utilization.
- Assist in inventory audits and cycle counting as required by management.
Qualifications
- Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant).
- Previous experience operating forklifts (Counterbalance or Reach preferred).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects for extended periods.
- Basic computer literacy for logging inventory data.
- Must reside within the New York area.
