Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers to move inventory.
- Inventory Management: Accurately receive, check, and stock materials to maintain accurate warehouse records and inventory levels.
- Loading and Unloading: Load and unload trailers and trucks in a timely manner, ensuring cargo security.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Quality Control: Inspect goods for damage during transport and report any discrepancies immediately.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current OSHA forklift operator certification (Class 1, 3, or 4).
- Experience: Previous experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions (if applicable).
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to perform repetitive tasks with high accuracy and minimal supervision.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Communication: Basic English proficiency for reading safety signs and communicating with team leads.
