Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and powered industrial trucks (PIT) in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse and to and from loading docks, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Perform regular inventory counts and maintain accurate stock records using handheld scanners.
- Inspect forklifts and material handling equipment for maintenance needs and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Keep the work area organized, clean, and free of hazards at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely order fulfillment and shipping processes.
- Follow all OSHA regulations and company standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Qualifications
- Certified forklift operator (Must possess a valid forklift certification or be willing to obtain one upon hire).
- Ability to stand for extended periods, climb ramps and stairs, and work in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50+ pounds repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to read and understand shipping labels and inventory lists.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.
- Basic computer literacy for logging inventory and time.
