Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment in warehouse environments
- Inspect and maintain equipment daily to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance
- Accurately document inventory movements and warehouse transactions
- Collaborate with logistics team to optimize storage and retrieval processes
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and company policies at all times
- Support cross-functional teams with material handling during peak seasons
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for warehouse efficiency
Qualifications
- Valid forklift certification (OSHA-approved)
- Minimum 2 years warehouse/material handling experience
- Strong attention to detail and safety consciousness
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Basic computer literacy for inventory systems
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience with WMS software preferred
- Reliable transportation to Kansas City facility
