Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, order pickers) to move, load, unload, and stack materials safely and efficiently.
- Conduct routine pre-shift equipment inspections and safety checks to ensure machinery is in optimal working condition.
- Verify inventory counts and accurately document stock movements using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace in compliance with OSHA safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to fulfill orders accurately and meet daily productivity targets.
- Assist in loading and unloading delivery trucks in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Valid and current forklift operator certification (OSHA compliant).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating sit-down forklifts (Class I) or stand-up reach trucks.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and material handling best practices.
- Ability to read and comprehend shipping labels, bills of lading, and inventory reports.
- Physically capable of standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and maneuvering in tight spaces.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to teamwork.
