Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and move pallets throughout the facility.
- Inventory Management: Accurately count and verify stock, ensuring all inventory is properly labeled and organized.
- Palletizing: Wrap and secure pallets using stretch wrap to ensure safe transport and storage.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines and company policies regarding equipment operation and workplace safety.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections on forklifts and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick and pack customer orders with speed and precision to meet daily targets.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times to prevent accidents.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid and current forklift operator certification (OSHA preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for long periods, and perform physical tasks in a warehouse setting.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy regarding inventory counts and order accuracy.
- Communication: Ability to read and understand basic instructions and communicate effectively with team leads.
- Reliability: Must have a reliable work history and be available for full-time shifts.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
