Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment (reach trucks, pallet jacks) safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring cargo is secured properly and weight distribution is balanced.
- Perform daily pre-shift safety inspections of equipment and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and participate in regular cycle counts.
- Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies.
- Keep the warehouse organized and ensure aisles are clear of obstructions.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline the shipping and receiving process.
Qualifications
- Valid and current Forklift Operator License (CDL Class A or B preferred).
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and OSHA standards.
- Excellent physical stamina; ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills for logging inventory data.
