Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Palletizing: Efficiently stack and organize pallets according to warehouse safety standards and customer requirements.
- Inventory Control: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by scanning items and reporting discrepancies.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts to ensure optimal performance.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and operating procedures at all times.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team leads and other warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow and meet daily production targets.
- Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork, including shipping logs and quality inspection reports.
Qualifications
- License: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant) required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on safety and accuracy in inventory management.
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions clearly.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime and weekends as business demands.
