Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse and to delivery vehicles.
- Inspect forklifts for any mechanical issues before starting shifts and report any malfunctions immediately.
- Verify and count products to ensure accuracy against shipping orders and manifests.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including scanning barcodes and updating stock systems.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies regarding lifting, moving materials, and traffic flow.
Qualifications
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA preferred).
- Previous experience operating powered industrial trucks (PIT) in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to use handheld scanners.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
