As a Forklift Operator, you will play a critical role in our daily operations, ensuring that inventory is processed efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate material handling equipment: Drive forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Adhere to safety protocols: Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies to maintain a hazard-free workplace.
- Inventory management: Accurately stock shelves, pick orders, and organize inventory to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Equipment maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues to management immediately.
- Cleanliness: Keep the warehouse floor, aisles, and work areas clean, organized, and free of debris.
- Load/unload operations: Efficiently manage inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring they are secured and labeled correctly.
Qualifications
- Valid Certification: Must possess a valid and current Forklift Operator Certification.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of verifiable experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in varying temperature conditions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to count, label, and track inventory accurately.
- Driver's License: Valid state-issued driver's license is required.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work scheduled shifts.
