Responsibilities
- Operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers to move palletized inventory safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload shipping containers and delivery trucks while adhering to strict weight and balance regulations.
- Perform daily pre-shift equipment inspections and safety checks to ensure machinery is in good working order.
- Conduct inventory counts and manage stock rotation to ensure accuracy and minimize shrinkage.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, strictly following 5S safety protocols and OSHA guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with shift leads and team members regarding inventory discrepancies or equipment issues.
- Assist in general warehouse duties, including palletizing and shrink-wrapping as needed.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (CDL not required, but certification must be current).
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a distribution center or warehouse setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for long periods, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Safety Record: Clean driving and safety record with no major infractions.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and occasional overtime during peak seasons.
- Tools: Basic proficiency with warehouse management software (WMS) is a plus but not required.
