Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Equipment: Load, unload, and move materials using sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers.
- Inventory Management: Verify and count stock, ensuring accurate inventory levels in the warehouse.
- Freight Handling: Pack, crate, and secure pallets for shipment, adhering to weight limits and safety regulations.
- Maintenance Checks: Perform pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in safe working condition.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and company policies to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and other warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA 10/30 preferred) required.
- Experience: Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in varying temperature conditions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy in inventory counts and load securing.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) consistently.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
