As a Forklift Operator at our Omaha facility, you will play a crucial role in our supply chain operations, ensuring that inventory is handled with precision and care.
Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and to delivery vehicles.
- Inventory Management: Accurately scan, count, and verify stock using RF scanners to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines and company protocols to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick and pack customer orders efficiently to meet daily shipping targets and deadlines.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections on forklifts and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Organization: Keep storage areas clean, organized, and orderly to optimize workflow.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA compliant) is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for long periods, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and safety protocols.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time hours, including weekends or nights if required.
- Communication: Ability to read and understand safety signs and communicate effectively with team members.
