Responsibilities
- Operate powered industrial trucks (Forklifts, Pallet Jacks, and Reach Trucks) to move, stack, count, and load materials efficiently and safely.
- Load and unload trucks according to shipping schedules and safety protocols, ensuring cargo is secured properly.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections on forklift equipment to ensure all safety mechanisms are functioning correctly.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas, ensuring accurate stock levels are recorded in the warehouse management system.
- Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies regarding warehouse operations and equipment usage.
- Collaborate with team leads to optimize warehouse layout and workflow for maximum efficiency.
- Assist in general warehouse duties such as packaging, labeling, and maintaining a clean work environment.
Qualifications
- Certified Forklift Operator license (OSHA compliant) required; training provided for qualified candidates without certification.
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting is preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and a post-offer drug screen.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to verify inventory counts accurately.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Basic computer literacy for logging inventory and operating warehouse software.
- Valid driver's license (Class C) is a plus.
