Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to safely load, unload, and move palletized materials throughout the warehouse.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in safe, working condition.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist in stock rotation (FIFO) to ensure product freshness.
- Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company safety protocols at all times.
- Keep the warehouse floor clean, organized, and free of debris or hazards.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to meet daily productivity goals.
- Package and label shipments accurately for local and regional distribution.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid forklift operator certification (CDL or forklift license).
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on safety and accuracy in inventory management.
- Communication:
- Ability to read and understand shipping labels, manifests, and safety signs.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
