Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely drive and maneuver forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Accurately pick, pack, and stage orders according to shipping requirements and documentation.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in proper working order and report any mechanical issues.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and clutter-free workspace to ensure maximum efficiency and safety.
- Documentation: Keep accurate records of stock movements and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid and current forklift operator certification (OSHA compliant).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating powered industrial trucks in a warehouse setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for long periods, and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to follow instructions and maintain accuracy in inventory counts.
- Reliability: Proven track record of punctuality and dependability in previous roles.
- Communication: Basic verbal communication skills to interact effectively with team leads and supervisors.
