Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Equipment: Drive forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Maintain Inventory: Perform cycle counts, check incoming and outgoing shipments, and ensure accurate inventory records.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety protocols, wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and perform daily equipment inspections.
- Warehouse Organization: Keep the warehouse floor clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure an efficient workflow.
- Team Coordination: Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to meet daily production goals.
- Equipment Maintenance: Report any mechanical issues with the forklift or warehouse machinery to management immediately.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (e.g., LF, HF, Reach Truck) required.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and navigate tight spaces.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
