Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently drive forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers to move inventory throughout the facility.
- Load and Unload: Properly load and unload trucks, containers, and pallets while adhering to weight limits and safety protocols.
- Inventory Management: Assist in cycle counts and inventory organization to ensure accurate stock levels and product availability.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections on forklifts and report any mechanical issues or safety hazards immediately.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean and organized work area, strictly following OSHA safety regulations and company policies.
- Shipping & Receiving: Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and damage.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid and current forklift certification (reach truck, sit-down, or clamp). (CDL Class A/B preferred for specific roles).
- Schedule Availability: Must be available to work Weekend Shifts and overtime as needed.
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or logistics environment is highly preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and navigate uneven surfaces.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and safety during material handling operations.
- Communication: Ability to read and understand work orders, safety labels, and communicate effectively with team members.
