Responsibilities
- Heavy Machinery Operation: Safely and efficiently operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move stock throughout the facility.
- Inventory Control: Receive, verify, and stock incoming shipments accurately using RF scanners and manual counts to maintain inventory integrity.
- Loading & Unloading: Load and unload trucks and containers quickly and securely, adhering to strict shipping schedules and safety protocols.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies, including wearing proper PPE and conducting pre-shift equipment inspections.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment at all times.
- Documentation: Accurately complete daily logs and paperwork related to shipments and equipment maintenance.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant) and a valid driver's license.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of professional experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial distribution center.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs), and perform repetitive motions. Must be able to pass a physical examination.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when counting stock, labeling pallets, and documenting transactions.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy and ability to use handheld scanning devices.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time shifts, including weekends and overtime as business needs dictate.
