Job Overview:
The Cold Storage Worker is responsible for the movement of goods within the refrigerated environment. You will be the first line of defense in maintaining product integrity and ensuring our safety standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and stage pallets of goods using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Temperature Monitoring: Regularly check and log temperature data to ensure compliance with safety regulations and product quality standards.
- Inventory Management: Conduct cycle counts and maintain accurate stock records within the cold storage units.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA guidelines and facility safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Organization: Keep the warehouse organized and clean to facilitate efficient workflow and reduce hazards.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to meet daily production targets.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly. Must be comfortable working in temperatures below 40°F.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or cold storage is preferred but not mandatory.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy and math skills for inventory tracking.
- Certification: Valid forklift certification (Class A/B/C) is a plus.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
