Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely and efficiently load, unload, and organize merchandise within the cold storage facility using appropriate equipment.
- Inventory Management: Assist in checking inventory against orders, verifying quantities, and tagging items for shipment.
- Temperature Compliance: Monitor storage temperatures regularly and log data to ensure all products remain within safe and regulatory limits.
- Facility Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by sweeping, mopping, and removing debris.
- Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery safely after certification.
- Safety Adherence: Follow all safety protocols and OSHA guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure workflow efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience: Prior experience in warehousing, logistics, or cold storage is preferred but not required.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly; ability to stand for extended periods.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and safety in fast-paced environments.
- Forklift Certification: Valid forklift certification is a plus.
