Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Freight: Safely handle and move palletized goods using forklifts and pallet jacks in a refrigerated environment.
- Inventory Management: Perform accurate cycle counts and stock audits to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Quality Control: Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure product integrity and adherence to safety standards.
- Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace by following 5S protocols.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks on warehouse equipment and report any malfunctions immediately.
- Documentation: Accurately complete necessary paperwork for shipments, including packing slips and bills of lading.
Qualifications
- Experience: Prior experience in warehousing, logistics, or cold storage is preferred but not required; we provide comprehensive on-the-job training.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift in a cold environment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and safety when handling sensitive inventory.
- License: Valid driver's license and forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) are highly desirable.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends if needed.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
