Responsibilities
- Operate refrigerated warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts) in sub-zero environments
- Maintain precise temperature monitoring and documentation of storage units
- Execute inventory control procedures for perishable goods
- Adhere to strict HACCP and OSHA safety protocols
- Coordinate with logistics team for efficient loading/unloading operations
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and maintenance checks
- Train new hires on cold storage procedures and safety standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in refrigerated warehouse operations
- OSHA 10-Hour certification or willingness to obtain
- Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20°F
- Strong attention to detail and inventory management skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking systems
