Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Operate forklifts and powered industrial vehicles (reach trucks, pallet jacks) with precision and strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Material Handling: Load and unload materials from trucks, railcars, and conveyors efficiently to maintain optimal workflow and minimize downtime.
- Maintenance Checks: Perform daily pre-shift inspections on equipment to ensure machinery is in safe operating condition.
- Inventory Accuracy: Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning and logging stock movements using WMS software.
- Cleanliness: Keep the warehouse organized and free of hazards to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team leads to ensure adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
- Regulatory Compliance: Handle hazardous materials or heavy loads according to OSHA and company safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current forklift operator certification (Class 1, 3, or 4 preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations and standard warehouse procedures.
- Physical Requirements: Excellent physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Soft Skills: Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced team setting.
