Job Summary:
The Forklift Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our distribution center. You will play a critical role in ensuring our supply chain remains uninterrupted and our inventory is accurately managed.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport materials.
- Verify inventory counts and accurately update warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Inspect equipment daily for safety compliance and report any maintenance needs immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in compliance with all OSHA regulations.
- Collaborate with team leads to ensure efficient workflow and meet daily productivity targets.
- Assist in the preparation and staging of shipments for outbound transport.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in warehouse logistics or material handling.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy in inventory counts and safety checks.
- Reliability: Punctual and able to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Documentation: Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
