Responsibilities
- Pack Items Accurately: Efficiently and accurately pack orders according to company standards and client specifications, ensuring proper use of packaging materials.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory counts and reconcile packing slips with physical stock to minimize errors.
- Quality Control: Inspect items for damage before packing and report any discrepancies or damaged goods immediately to the shift supervisor.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate packing machinery, scanners, and pallet jacks as required to streamline the packing process.
- Workspace Maintenance: Keep packing stations organized, clean, and safe in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with pickers, loaders, and team leads to meet daily productivity and throughput goals.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs frequently, and perform repetitive motions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to verify information and ensure high accuracy in packing and labeling.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or retail stocking preferred but not mandatory (training provided).
- Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy and ability to use handheld scanners or RF guns is a plus.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, have a clean driving record (for warehouse shuttle if applicable), and pass a background check.
