Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload trucks and containers using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Inventory Management: Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and document any discrepancies immediately.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Packing and Labeling: Properly pack items for shipping, ensuring they are secure and clearly labeled with correct shipping information.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections of loading equipment and report any malfunctions to the supervisor.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively with team members to ensure timely fulfillment of daily orders and targets.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50-70 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to focus on details to ensure accuracy in inventory and shipping.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license (Class C) is a plus.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Equipment Operation: Basic knowledge of forklift or pallet jack operation is a significant advantage.
