Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely load, unload, and stage merchandise using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to ensure accurate inventory placement.
- Equipment Operation: Operate various warehouse machinery and material handling equipment in compliance with all OSHA safety standards and company protocols.
- Quality Control: Inspect products for damage during transit and report any discrepancies immediately to the shift supervisor.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of stock movement and assist in cycle counting processes to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict safety guidelines, including proper lifting techniques and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively with cross-functional teams to meet daily shipping and receiving targets and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or material handling is a plus but not required; on-the-job training is provided.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- License: Valid forklift operator certification is highly desirable.
- Skills: Basic math skills for counting and measuring; ability to read and understand pick tickets and packing lists.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
