Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely load, unload, and transport materials using various types of forklifts, including Reach Trucks, Order Pickers, and Counterbalance forklifts.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock levels are organized and accessible for order fulfillment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine safety inspections on forklifts and report any mechanical issues immediately to the maintenance department.
- Warehouse Organization: Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with all OSHA safety standards and company policies.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and stage orders accurately and efficiently to meet strict shipping deadlines.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and following traffic patterns in the warehouse.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (Class A, B, or C) is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive motions.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy in inventory counts and order picking.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license is preferred but not always required depending on the specific role.
