Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely drive and operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and Unload Freight: Efficiently load and unload trucks, ensuring cargo is secured and organized properly.
- Inventory Management: Verify incoming and outgoing shipments, count stock, and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations, perform daily pre-shift inspections of machinery, and report any equipment malfunctions immediately.
- Warehouse Organization: Keep the warehouse aisles clear, organize pallets, and maintain a clean and tidy work area.
- Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork, including delivery receipts and safety logs, accurately and on time.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant).
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to focus on safety and accuracy while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Background Check: Must be willing to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time shifts, including potential weekend or overtime work.
