Responsibilities
- Conduct Daily Audits: Perform accurate cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure discrepancies are identified and resolved immediately.
- Manage Stock Levels: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing teams to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
- Process Shipments: Receive, inspect, and verify incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
- Database Management: Update and maintain our Warehouse Management System (WMS) with real-time data regarding stock locations and quantities.
- Quality Control: Inspect goods for damage or defects before processing them into inventory storage.
- Report Generation: Generate and analyze inventory reports to provide insights into stock trends and operational efficiency.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all scanning equipment and inventory software are functioning correctly.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in logistics or supply chain preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in inventory control, warehousing, or logistics.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with barcode scanners, handheld computers, and WMS software (e.g., SAP, Manhattan, Oracle).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot discrepancies and maintain high levels of accuracy.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and navigate a warehouse environment.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members and management.
- License: Forklift certification is a plus but not mandatory.
