Role Overview:
In this pivotal role, you will manage the flow of goods in and out of our facility, ensuring accurate stock levels and timely deliveries. You will be the gatekeeper of our inventory data, working closely with the warehouse team to maintain seamless operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular physical counts and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies immediately.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, documenting any damages or shortages.
- Update and maintain inventory management software and spreadsheets with precise data entry.
- Organize and manage stockroom areas, ensuring items are properly labeled, stored, and easily accessible.
- Prepare and process stock transfers between departments or locations as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of weekly and monthly inventory reports for management review.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols and OSHA guidelines.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Supply Chain or related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in inventory control, warehousing, or logistics is preferred but not required for entry-level candidates.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and inventory management systems.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot errors in data or physical counts.
- Basic math skills for calculating quantities, costs, and discrepancies.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods in a warehouse setting.
- Forklift certification (preferred but willing to train).
