Responsibilities
- Operate Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move inventory throughout the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders; document any discrepancies immediately.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders accurately and in a timely manner to meet shipping deadlines.
- Stock Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe storage environment; rotate stock to ensure FIFO (First-In, First-Out) practices are followed.
- Documentation: Accurately complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery notes, inventory logs, and safety reports.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic pre-shift inspections on material handling equipment and report any mechanical issues to management.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Certification: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (Class A or B) is preferred but willing to train the right candidate.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or a related field is a plus.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and navigate a busy warehouse environment.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, basic computer literacy for inventory systems, and a commitment to safety protocols.
