Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to load, unload, and transport materials.
- Inventory Management: Accurately count, verify, and document incoming and outgoing inventory using RF scanners and computer systems.
- Stock Organization: Maintain organized storage areas, ensuring proper labeling and rotation of stock to prevent spoilage or damage.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies, reporting any hazards immediately.
- Shipping & Receiving: Prepare shipments for delivery, ensuring all documentation is correct and packages are secure.
- General Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning and maintenance checks on warehouse equipment and work areas.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing setting is preferred but not required (on-the-job training provided).
- Skills: Ability to operate a forklift (certification required) or willingness to obtain certification.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, and excellent time management skills.
