Your Role
As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the efficient movement, storage, and distribution of materials within our warehouse. You will ensure that inventory accuracy is maintained and that all safety protocols are followed at all times.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and move products and materials to and from storage areas, production lines, and loading docks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against bills of lading, invoices, and other records to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and package items for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, including sweeping floors and organizing aisles.
- Report damaged or defective products to the supervisor immediately.
- Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts) safely and perform routine equipment maintenance checks.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or material handling is a plus but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Basic math skills for counting inventory and preparing paperwork.
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain one).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
