Responsibilities
- Material Movement: Safely load and unload freight from trucks, railcars, and conveyors using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Inventory Management: Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment with high accuracy and speed.
- Stock Control: Monitor stock levels, rotate inventory to ensure freshness (if applicable), and update inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery according to safety protocols and company guidelines.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to all OSHA safety standards and company policies.
- Reporting: Assist in cycle counts and report any discrepancies or damaged goods immediately.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or material handling is a plus but not required for entry-level candidates.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, twist, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- License: Valid driver's license required.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
