The Role
As a Material Handler, you will play a critical role in our supply chain, ensuring that our inventory is managed efficiently and accurately. You will work closely with our logistics team to guarantee timely processing of shipments and the smooth operation of our facility.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and move products and materials to and from storage or production areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Verify inventory counts and ensure accuracy through scanning and tagging systems.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, adhering to all OSHA safety regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of shipments, including labeling, packaging, and documentation.
- Operate warehouse management systems (WMS) to update stock levels and track incoming/outgoing goods.
- Collaborate with team leads to resolve inventory discrepancies and optimize workflow processes.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environments is a plus but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Forklift certification (Class A or B) is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and basic computer literacy.
- Valid driver’s license may be required for local driving tasks.
