Responsibilities
- Operational Support: Load, unload, and move materials safely and efficiently using forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyors.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, organize stock areas, and verify shipments against purchase orders to ensure accuracy.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA regulations and company safety protocols to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect incoming products for damage and package outgoing shipments securely to prevent loss or damage.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of stock movements and handle necessary paperwork (packing lists, manifests) with precision.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with shift supervisors and coworkers to optimize workflow and resolve issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Experience: Prior experience in warehousing, logistics, or material handling is preferred; on-the-job training provided for qualified candidates.
- Licensure: Valid forklift operator certification (Class A, B, or C) is a strong plus.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and navigate various warehouse terrains.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Availability: Must be able to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends, as required by business needs.
