We are looking for a hardworking individual who thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment. As a Material Handler, you will be the backbone of our daily operations, ensuring that our products reach our customers accurately and on time.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and move materials and products within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyors.
- Verify and inspect incoming shipments for damage, accuracy, and completeness.
- Stock inventory and organize storage areas to maintain a safe and efficient workspace.
- Prepare and package items for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Operate warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory levels and order status.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets and deadlines.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or material handling is preferred but not required.
- Ability to obtain a forklift certification within the first 30 days of employment.
- Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and basic math skills for inventory counting.
- Reliable transportation to and from the Chicago facility.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
