Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Freight: Safely and efficiently load and unload trucks using forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring all cargo is secured and protected.
- Inventory Control: Perform cycle counts, stock inspections, and maintain accurate records in our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment with a focus on speed and accuracy to meet tight deadlines.
- Forklift Operation: Operate powered industrial trucks (Forklifts) to move materials to designated storage areas and staging zones.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections on material handling equipment and report any mechanical issues to the maintenance team.
- Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork, including packing slips and receiving reports, accurately and on time.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy and experience with inventory software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
- License: Valid forklift certification is highly desirable; on-the-job training may be provided.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to verify product information and maintain accuracy in inventory counts.
